A golf robot named LDRIC hit a hole-in-one on a Par-3 hole. The hole is the 16th hole at the TPC Scottsdale course in Arizona.LDRIC was developed by Gene Parente at Golf Laboratories, Inc. Golf Digest reports that the robot is used primarily for equipment and ball-testing but it can also play a good game. The robot can take into account factors like wind speed and green surface before taking its swing.
This was LDRIC's fifth try on the hole. LDRIC makes it look easy. LDRIC lofted the ball right onto the green and the ball rolled straight into the hole. Everyone cheered for the robot that golfs better than the humans. Take a look:
Here is another look at LDRIC. The talking golfing robot is named after Tiger Wood's birth name Eldrick. Parente says LDRIC can duplicate the golf swing of any player. He also says it can beat the top players.
